A venue and a view is sometimes all you need for a wedding. How about the view of the skyline of New York City across the Hudson River? Add in some good music, Jersey accents and a couple more in love than I have ever seen and you are probably thinking about Jill and Joey’s wedding.
When Jill (one of my bff’s) asked Gregg and I to shoot her wedding, we had some figuring out to do! The problem? I was in the wedding party! I wouldn’t miss being a bridesmaid for anything in the world so we came to a perfect solution. Gregg would shoot, I would pose and guide Jill (when I could) and we would have an awesome assistant (Thanks Amie!) to help. It all worked and we got some amazing photos to boot!
Jill and Joey have literally grown together as a couple. They dated for 10 (count ‘em) years before saying their vows in the same church where she was baptized. The sun was shining, Jill looked amazing and their wedding was gorgeous. Sonya (their sweet Staffordshire pitbull) even made an appearance! The Hyatt overlooking Manhattan was icing on the wedding cake. Jill and Joey, I am so happy for you and thanks for having us there! Enjoy!
